What we're all about...

NO LANYARDS MADE HERE. At Oxbow, we believe there's no limit to what kids can create given professional instruction in an inspiring, non-competitive and nurturing environment. "SERIOUS ART, SERIOUS FUN" is a unique "art-immersion" boarding program for teens ages 14-16 who can't get enough art! It includes: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, and printmaking. Under the direction of professional artists and art teachers, campers are encouraged to experiment, find their particular artistic interests, and learn at their own pace while being challenged to broaden their horizons. In addition to art, Oxbow campers enjoy fresh, organic, locally grown food, field trips, visiting artists, talent shows and lots of recreational activities. In our vibrant artistic community, they learn respect: for oneself and others, for art, and for the world around them; they gain self-confidence; they form lifelong friendships with like-hearted campers; and have lots of fun. No portfolios, or previous art training neededójust the desire to dive in, take risks, and see what happens.
