Plugged In Band Program Summer Day Camp and Evening Band Classes

Plugged In’s Summer Day Camp and Evening Band Classes are now open for registration. Since 2002, Plugged In has educated and celebrated performers at all stages of their music-making journeys. We combine music education, philanthropy, and diversity in a creative and collaborative environment where students prepare for a life of civic participation in an inclusive society.

At Plugged In, students thrive in a learning environment without hierarchies or band leaders, where those of all abilities and skill levels are met where they are. Through collaboration with bandmates and professional teaching staff, those who enroll harness the power of music to increase self-confidence and sharpen interpersonal and socioemotional skills.

Music That Matters: Summer Day Camp:
Music That Matters is an in-person summer day camp that includes band classes, songwriting and recording, music videos, workshops, offsite events, and performance opportunities. Each session ends with a benefit concert that raises money for a charitable organization chosen by the students themselves. An extended day is available. 

Evening Summer Band Classes:
Plugged In offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced band classes.  Students are grouped into bands based on age, skill level, and preferred musical style. Bands choose songs and perform a set at the session-ending concert. Students will participate in Community Engage, where they select a charity beneficiary for the session-ending concert.
